New York Open Introduces Stem Education Day on Feb. 11

 

The Stem Education Day at the New York Open will take place on Tuesday, February 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering hundreds of middle school students throughout Long Island the opportunity to not enjoy enjoy the world-class tennis action on court, but will also engage in interactive STEM education programming, provided by Geek’s Rule.

 

Students will participate in class from 10 a.m. until noon at the Coliseum via an interactive, problem-solving and team-oriented STEM curriculum. National Grid will provide volunteer assistance and serve as the presenting sponsor of the a STEM education pamphlet, which students can refer to.

 

From noon until 2 p.m, students will not only enjoy tennis on the signature black courts, but during various breaks and changeovers, will have interactive STEM messaging by way of PA announcements and jumbotron imaging.
