Player Field Announced For New York Open 2020 Return to NYCB LIVE

Nishikori, Isner, Kyrgios, Opelka, Querrey, and Raonic Among Players to Take Black Court

LONG ISLAND (January 6, 2020) – The New York Open will return to Long Island for the third consecutive year, with top tier players hitting to the home of the black court at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The iconic event, being held from February 9 through February 16, is set to feature its strongest player field.

John Isner, the top ranked American at #19, and Canadian Milos Raonic, a former Wimbledon finalist and current #31, join the list of already committed players, Kei Nishikori ,world #13, Australian star Nick Kyrgios, #30, 2019 champion Reilly Opelka, #36, and 2018 champion Kevin Anderson. Also joining the field is former semifinalist Sam Querrey, #44, and making his first appearance is Great Britain’s Kyle Edmund, a former world ranked #14.

“The New York Open has attracted our best field this year,” said Tournament Director Peter Lebedevs. “Nick Kyrgios and Milos Raonic will be making their first appearance at the tournament and the fans will be excited to see them play on the black courts. Kei Nishikori, John Isner and Reilly Opelka, along with Kevin Anderson, are all returning and that is a testament to the fan support for these players and the New York Open.

“There are some new and exciting things for fans to enjoy as well. The first day of qualifying —Sunday, February 9, will be Family Day presented by PGA Tour Superstore and all tickets are free so the entire family can come out. We will also host the New York Open Pickleball Championships during finals weekend, February 14-16, so there are things for everyone at the New York Open.”
